In December 2016 the Yellowstone Association merged with the Yellowstone Park Foundation to form Yellowstone Forever, which is now the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park.

The new organization aims to “connect people to Yellowstone National Park through outstanding visitor experiences and educational programs and translate those experiences into lifelong support and philanthropic investment to conserve and enhance the park for the future,” according to the Yellowstone Forever website.

The Yellowstone Association Institute has been helping visitors to Yellowstone National Park make the most of their time since 1933, dedicating itself to educating visitors about Yellowstone and teaching them the importance of preserving this national treasure for generations to come. The Yellowstone Park Foundation was founded in 1996.

Lodging and Learning Programs and Guided Hiking

With the Yellowstone Forever’s Lodging and Learning program, you get the perfect mix of education and recreation. The packages are offered in partnership with Xanterra Parks & Resorts, allowing you to take in natural wonders during the day, while still having the comfort of a nice hotel to go home to in the evening. The fees include daily field trips, lodging, most meals, in-park transportation and the option of evening programs. Unless otherwise noted, participants must be 12 years old or above.

The Trails Through Yellowstone program is designed for those who want to enjoy a more active vacation adventure in Yellowstone National Park with all the lodging and meals through Yellowstone Park Lodges including the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and hotels in the Grant area of the park.

Private Guided Tours

Check out the Yellowstone Forever’s private tours, offered daily to fit a range of itineraries and interests. All activities can be modified to fit the needs of your family. A naturalist guide will lead you into the park offering a host of facts and advice. “Tuition” for the programs includes instruction, transportation for the day and access to high-power scopes and binoculars to see far-away wildlife. Kids will stay busy working on their Junior Ranger badges. Meals and lodging aren’t included, although instructors will pick you up from your hotel.

Field Seminars

Examine specific aspects of the Yellowstone ecosystem in depth during one of the Yellowstone Association Institute’s field seminars, led by professors, naturalists, scientists, and acclaimed photographers, writers, historians and artists who are leaders in their respective fields.
